Privacy Policy

QuantumEdge (myquantumedge.tech, including the Dashboard at app.myquantumedge.tech and the AI Backtester at backtest.myquantumedge.tech) is a research tool for people who trade their own strategies. This page says plainly what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

• Your account: your email address, your password (stored only as a one-way hash, never readable), whether you signed up as a trader or an investor, and the workspace or fund name you choose.
• What you build: strategy descriptions you type, strategy files you upload or that the AI writes for you, the settings of each backtest, and its results.
• Linked broker accounts: if you link an account, its account number, the read-only report token you give us (stored encrypted), and what those reports contain: trades, positions, balances, deposits and withdrawals. These tokens can read reports; they cannot place trades, and we never ask for a login that can.
• Uploaded trade files and runner reports: the trades in any CSV you upload or that your reporting script sends.
• Sharing: email addresses you enter to invite investors, a log of which invited investor viewed which part of your fund and when, and how many times your share codes were used.
• Technical data: the IP address of anyone entering a share code (to limit guessing), and ordinary server logs (IP address, time and page requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

Only to run the service for you: to sign you in, run your backtests, show your results and linked accounts, and let the people you choose see what you share. We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and we never trade on your behalf — QuantumEdge holds no credential that can place a trade in a real-money account.

Who can see it

• You. Every account has its own private workspace; no other account can see your strategies, backtests or linked accounts.
• People you invite. Investors you confirm see your fund at the level you choose (hidden, summary, or full). Real trading results you attach are shared in full with them. Investors never see strategy code, settings or private notes.
• Share-code holders see results only — never your strategy, settings, symbols or prices — for 30 minutes per code.
• The platform operator can review backtests and strategy files for support and to keep the service safe.
• Service providers that run parts of the service:
  • Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) stores the data.
  • The strategy description you type is sent to the AI provider that writes the checklist and code (currently Groq, running an open-source model; Anthropic Claude when enabled; or your own provider if you add your own AI key). Please don't put personal information in a strategy description.
  • To price the positions in a linked account, the ticker symbols you hold are sent to our market-data provider (Alpaca), without your name or account details.
  • Market prices, company filings and economic data come from Alpaca, the SEC's EDGAR system, Yahoo Finance and the Federal Reserve (FRED); none of your data is sent to them.

Cookies and storage

We use a sign-in cookie (so one sign-in works across both tools), a cookie remembering your light or dark mode, and, for share-code visitors, a short-lived viewing cookie. The tools also keep your sign-in in your browser's storage. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, broker tokens are encrypted at rest, each workspace is isolated from the others, and strategies run in a locked-down sandbox. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. To have your account and everything in it deleted — or to get a copy — email us at the address below and we will do it. You can unlink a broker account and revoke share codes and reporting links yourself at any time.

Children

QuantumEdge is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you on the site if the change is significant.
